The real term for these lucky Japanese cats is, “Maneki neko,” but Amanda and I call them “chubby kitties.” We found them on our last trip to NYC and she now has quite an extensive collection. I have four or five. They call things to you – since this one is blue, it is calling mental energies. I like to think of it as creativity, as opposed to test-taking 🙂
