Zeroing - Mechanical Zeroing

Mechanical Zero is done on the M16A1 and prepares a weapon to be zeroed if the weapon is new by centering the sights, thereby reducing the time it takes to achieve a battlesight zero. M16A2’s are not mechanically zeroed, but the sights are set at an “initial sight setting” to speed the zeroing process.
