Legacy III – Income Inequality – Poverty Wage

Bouguereau’s “The Indigent Family” inspired this piece, subtitled, “Income inequality/Poverty Wage.” Things apparently haven’t changed a lot since 1865. Single mothers still have a difficult time making enough to support their families, and in large part because they’re female and make less than their male counterparts. Many large employers take advantage of this desperation and pay a poverty wage.
